Who we are

A high-quality, proudly Lancashire male voice choir with a century of heritage.

Based in the Rossendale Valley, we've been bringing men together through singing for more than a century. Today we're a large, friendly and ambitious choir combining the traditions of male-voice singing with an increasingly diverse repertoire and a passion for entertaining audiences.

We create powerful, entertaining live musical experiences — not simply concerts.

Our repertoire ranges from the great male-voice tradition to contemporary music, popular songs, musicals and shanties. Our performances increasingly combine singing with narration, film, imagery and theatrical presentation. Whether we're performing in a concert hall, village hall or at a major event, our aim is the same: to make the audience laugh, smile, remember, and sometimes shed a tear.

We're serious about singing — but we don't take ourselves too seriously.

Rehearsals, performances, competitions, trips, pub sessions and social events are all part of what makes RMVC what it is. The friendships formed through singing are every bit as important as the music itself.

When you come to an RMVC performance, you're going to feel something.

The sound of dozens of male voices singing together is something special. But great performances are about more than sound. They're about emotion, energy, humour, memories and shared experience.
